+ More InfoA couple miles down the road off of S Harvard Ave and E 31st St, lies the second home of traditional New York City pizza, Umberto’s New York Style Pizza. Their pizza-by-slice menu carries the options of alfredo or marinara sauce for their customizable, buildable pizzas. They pride themselves in their hard-working staff, and their large pizza slices.
Also located on Cherry Street, lies The Piehole Pizzeria. They focus their selection on what is the most customizable for each and every guest, and are known for their affordable prices. Slices start off with the basic sauce and cheese duo and have the options of add-ons that are written on a chalkboard hung overhead. Their pizza-by-slice crust is a highlight as guests describe it as being “not too thick or thin.”
Just under the bridge at S Harvard Ave and E 51st St, lies the home of “authentic” New York pizza. NYC Pizza opened in 2005 and claims to be the originators of New York City style pizza for Tulsans after the father and uncle duo teamed up to open the family-run business, Pizza Quik, in the summer of 1985. NYC pizza prepares its pizza based off of a strict recipe just as the City, itself, makes the Americana favorite food.
Owners Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy, are born and raised natives of Brooklyn, NY and know a thing or two about pizza. Founded in 2017, Jimmy’s New York Pizzeria brought with it the taste of New York City to Tulsa. Pizza-by-slice options are available in traditional styles and are made from scratch with fresh ingredients and a family-secret marinara sauce daily.
